dress. This boy sporting this curious head dress is taken
from the Adoration of the Magi in the Uffizi and sits in the
middle right of the painting.
By comparing it with the standing youth in the lower right considered
as a sketchy self portrait of Leo it must be another version
of a self portrait, this time carrying Leo's idée fixe,
the happening of the great event, the resurrectio carnis, an
erection. In spite of his sacrilegious mind, to favour this
event he seem ready to pray. |
